GOTHENBURG: REFLECTIONS IN A CITY

I used to go to Gothenburg on business quiet a few times a year; but they were always flying visits; airport, meeting on outskirts of the city, hotel, more meetings, airport, home. One trip, I took an early flight the day before I needed to be in town so I could spend a few sunny hours looking round the city.

As my time was short I walked round the city centre followed by catching a water bus which I stayed on till it returned to my departure stop.

The one thing I noticed on my first trip to Gothenburg was the link the city has to the sea, ferries leave the city’s port for destinations throughout Scandinavia, the Baltic States and the UK (in summer only) while smaller craft ferry customers to the myriad islands that lie off the coast.SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA
